Think Tank

Beautiful British Columbia

It’s almost Election Day in BC and we've seen the news coverage, the ads, and the lawn signs. Let's lift our heads from the politics for a moment and remember what's great about this province. You may recall, last August, it was BC's 150th Birthday and Thinkr asked you what your favurite things were about this province and what you're telling candidates about their potential new home. Here is a summary of the results:

What is your favourite thing about BC?

1) Natural beauty
2) Outdoor adventures

When you're talking to candidates about BC, what do you brag about?

1) Natural Beauty
2) Outdoor adventures
3) Cultural diversity
4) Mild weather
5) Great food

The "lifestyle" in BC is often touted as our biggest selling feature. What exactly is this "lifestyle" and how would you describe it?

"Easy going, work life balance type of culture. People work hard but also like to play hard and won't give that up!"

"Life is not as fast here as in other metro cities. People have more time for their families. People are more health concious here and do find the time to exercise and stay healthy. It is a nice place to retire."

When your candidates give you feedback about moving to BC, what are they most attracted to about BC?

"The friendly people, the beauty of the city"

"That it is a beautiful place to live. For the Americans who love it here, they are happy that it is not the U.S.!"

"Lifestyle"

Don't forget to vote, and more importantly, don't forget to enjoy everything this great province has to offer!
